General Notes:
There is no census proof that William was son of Philip and in his household, but his birth date fits within the range of children's birth dates, and his home was next to or close to the other Graham households. This picture is of William and wife, Sally. A note was attached, saying "Wm & Sally Graham died 1905 and 1901 (aged 88 & 71)". A picture of Phillip and wife was also a part of this collection from Julia Graham Lank, via Lizzie Lank. 8 June 1860 Census for Concord P.O, Broad Creek Hd, Sussex, DE: Wm, 38, farmer, "cannot read or write", with Sallie, 29, Julia A., 9, Hester F., 7, and James B., 1. Census visit after Philip S. Graham. 20 July 1870 Census for Laurel P. O., Broad Creek Hd, Sussex, DE: Wm, 49, "carpender", with Sallie, 39, Julia, 20, Hester, 18, James, 13, Mary E., 11, and Sarah, 8. Page 2 and in same household are John E. Phillip, 3; Auther, 6/12, male; Elmiah, 7, fem.--are these Phillips related to the Grahams? This census indicates William was born in MD, while dtr Julia Graham Lank indicates in 1880 census that both parents were born in DE. Amanda, 4, and Willie, 1, appear in household of William Morgan, 54, farmer, and Sarah A. Morgan, 49, along with their son Harvey, 29. Census visit was 4 households after Phillip Graham, 77, and on same page. 1880 Census: No appearance. 9 Jun 1900 Census for Seaford Town, Seaford Hd, Sussex, DE: William Graham, 75, farmer, b. Sep. 1824 in MD, as were both parents; Sallie, 69, b. Jul. 1831 in DE as were both parents; Phillip, 31, son, b. Sep.1868, single, day laborer; Willie, 28, dtr, b. Aug. 1871. Is this the same William and Sallie? This census-taker indicates Sallie bore only 2 children, 2 living.
William married Sally J., daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on Aug 16, 1849 in Sussex Co, DE. (Sally J. was born on Feb 28, 1831, died on Jul 17, 1901 and was buried in Mt. Olivet M. P. Church, Seaford, Sussex Co., DE.)
