Graduated Smith College. Father was a store manager and prolific writer of church books, music and text. Lived in Boston. Nan's mother was descendant of two of the original 1620 Mayflower passengers, Richard Warren (Warren-Bartlett-Sprague-Knowlton-Hall) and John Alden (Alden-Bass-Knowlton-Hall), who married Priscilla Mullins. Nan met Herb in Paris at a Thanksgiving Day dinner in 1923. Son David was born exactly 14 years later.....Nan was cremated and ashes buried in Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal.
