The screw-driven steamer, Tangier, prepares to dock near the Seaford-Blades highway bridge. Later converted to a tanker and captained by William Jarrett of Seaford, she sank at the dock in Bayonne, NJ. Other steamboats making regular trips on the Nanticoke were the Joppa, Kent and the Avalon. [Photo courtesy of: J. Emory Willey Family; Bethel Museum; Delaware State Archives and M. N.
