bullet  General Notes:

The $200 DE marriage bond for Wm and Annie was signed by Wm Price and T. W. Cottingham 1-24-1877.
1860 (July) Census: Age 17, apprentice for saddlery, living in the John T. Price household in Lower Oxford Twp, Chester Co., PA. Additional 1860 (July 24) census lists him as an apprentice in the Jesse McCormick (master saddle and harness maker) household, Oxford.
1870 (Aug. 9th) Census for the "Boro of Rising Sun, 6th District", Fair Hill P.O., Cecil County, MD: Wm. H. Price, 26, harness maker, born MD and living in household of John T. Reynolds, 43, harness maker.
1880 Census: Indicates Wm & Annie living with son William J. (b. 1879) in Lower Oxford, Chester, PA; dob as 1843 (gravestone has 1841) and occupation as harness maker. The infants Minnie and Edward are buried in Seaford, or at least their names are on the main tombstone. It doesn't make sense that the 1880 Census shows Wm and Annie living in PA, and Minnie and Edward dying in 1878 and 1879 in Seaford. So, they could be names only at the gravesite.
1900 Census (2 June) for Seaford Hundred: William, 56 (b. 1843), and Annie, 42 (b. 1857), were married 22 years. Census indicates Annie having 7 children with 5 living. William's father was born in MD and mother (most likely his stepmother) was born in PA. Occupation of house carpenter. Living in Seaford, DE, in 1900. Listed as carpenter in 1897 Seaford history. This 1900 Census also shows Maude, Pearl, Estella and Jos. as born in DE. Therefore, Wm & family arrived in Seaford circa 1881.
1910 Census (19 April) for Seaford Town: William H. Price, 67, head, married 31 years, working on own account as harness maker, born in MD (as were both parents); Annie E., 53, wife, married 31 years, born in DE (as were both parents); Pearl, 23, daughter, single, born PA; Joseph N., 18, son, born DE, working as house painter; William C., 1 6/12, grandson, born PA (father born DE and mother born PA).
A William Price was on the 1785 assessment roll of North West Fork Hundred, which at that time embraced Seaford Hundred. Any relation?

bullet  Research Notes:

Historical records indicate Theo. D. Price as an elected clerk of Town of Seaford council in 1869. He was deported to the South for supporting the Confederacy during the Civil War. Relation of William? (http://www.accessible.com/amcnty/DE/Delaware/delaware74.htm).
