1. Henry Graham was born about 1705 in Barren Creek, Somerset Co, MD and died in 1772 in Barren Creek, Somerset Co, MD about age 67.

General Notes: Per Sylvia Bradley, of barrencreekheritage.org and Salisbury University: "The first settlers moved into the area around Barren Creek in the 1660s. There were a number of fur traders there earlier who traded with the local group of Nanticoke Indians (Puckamees they were called) and tried to keep out families who would farm and disturb the fur trapping areas but they did anyway...It also is more than likely that they moved UP here from Virginia -- either from the eastern shore of VA [Accomack County] or from across the Bay in the York/James Rivers area. Almost all the early settlers moved here from that direction. Very few came directly from England to the Nanticoke River area. That is, until later... In 'A Somerset Sampler', families of old Somerset 1700-1776, compiled by Pauline Batchelder I found 3 Grahams: 1. pg.64 Robert Graham bought Cordreys Beginning, Nanticoke Hundred from Jacob Cordrey in 1747. 2. pg 70 in 1741 Robert Graham bought land called Long Acre in Wicomico Hundred from Abraham Cordrey. 3. pg 259 Joseph Taylor:(died 1745) probably did not marry; family members named in will were bros. James, Samuel, John and Mathis. James and Samuel inherited land in Accomack, VA and Samuel also inherited land in Somerset-- Quacason Ridge on Barren Creek. Taylor left personalty to Henry Graham (who witnessed the will) "for taking care of me in my sickness and burying of me." Samuel and Joseph Nelson, Benjamin Records, and John Huffington, among others were also referred to in the will. Quacason Ridge has not been found in the land records, but there was a Quianskason Neck patented by James Weatherly, which was later bought in part by Henry Graham (will of Joseph Taylor, 15 Dec 1744- 1 June 1745, Jones, Worcester Co. Wills JW-2, p.25;Somerset Co. Deeds, C:258.)"

Henry married Ann Melson, daughter of Samuel Melson and Isabel, on Feb 16, 1744. Ann was born in 1705 in Accomac Co, VA and died in 1772 at age 67.

General Notes: Ann had a son, Jehu Parramore, from a previous marriage (Somerset tax records; Sam Lofland source)
